FAQ Answer

The campus email system and the library catalog both use the same authentication system.   In either case, you enter your netID and password...and when you've been authenticated, you are passed along to your destination.  

While the email system will accept your NetID regardless of case of the characters you use (e.g., BSMITH20 and bsmith20 are both acceptable), the library catalog requires that you use a lower case NetID when authenticating.
