Below are some recommended sources for panel/longitudinal or time-series data. Data from the sources below are in formats that can be used by popular statistical software packages. If these suggestions don't meet your needs, or you need additional guidance, contact the Digital Scholarship Center for help.

The GSS has been a reliable source of data to help researchers, students, and journalists monitor and explain trends in American behaviors, demographics, and opinions.

Panel Study of Income Dynamics (PSID)
The world’s longest running household panel survey. With five decades of data collected on the same families and their descendants, the PSID is a cornerstone of the data infrastructure for empirically-based social science research in the U.S. and the world.

IPUMS
